Thank you very much Erik.
I spent all of yesterday evening transfering all the Slic3r settings onto a speadsheet in order to compare different peoples settings.
I am contemplating sharing it so we all can share and compare.

Why is it that when I load these .ini files, the Filament diameter always shows up as 3mm on Slic3r?
I have Slic3r Prusa Edition 1.36.2-prusa3d-win64

Why is it that when I load these .ini files, the Filament diameter always shows up as 3mm on Slic3r?
I have Slic3r Prusa Edition 1.36.2-prusa3d-win64
Magic? - I don't know, haven't used Sli3er for a quite a while, uninstall, delete AppData/Application Data - reinstall maybe would help?

I did, Still same result.
What Slicer do you prefer?
Try on another PC or re-install windows :-) .... or manually edit the ini and take out all the 3mm stuff, that should do it!
Haven't used Cura and Slic3r for a long time so can't compare, I guess I prefer Simplify3D because it fills my needs and gives me no reason to look into other proggies - I invested in S3D because I got tired with the ever crashing Slic3r, new versions, new faults - guess it's much more stable now
