Replacement Extruder Tube Clip/Tounge - Iamburny

I got fed up of coming to check on a huge long print after a few hours to find the bowden tube retaining tongue had fallen out of the extruder causing no filament to be extruded, so i quickly knocked this up in OpenSCAD, not one of my best models as it is challenging to print being so small and does required support while printing the over hangs, however I managed to get one off successfully and after a bit of clean up it works as intended.

I got fed up with this problem, it got worse over time and I had to tie the retaining tougue in place with wire to complete a print. I modified the extruder with an extension over the tougue so I could hold the tougue in place with a 3mm screw.

Nice solution John,

I also found that the bowden tube was quite loose and able to move up and down by a few mm with the old tongue, so i made mine thicker and more wedge shaped than the original, so the lower part of my tongue on its own should also work well with your mod, I'll post an STL for just that bit if anyone would find it useful?

yes please, I currently have some random wood splinter wedged between the retaining thongue and the extruder... works but does not look pretty.
