3.3 (aii) You agree not to use the Site or Services to collect, upload, transmit, display, or distribute any User Content that is unlawful, harassing, abusive, tortious, threatening, harmful, invasive of another's privacy, vulgar, defamatory, false, intentionally misleading, trade libelous, pornographic, sexually explicit, obscene, patently offensive, promotes racism, bigotry, hatred, or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual, promotes illegal activities or contributes to the creation of weapons, illegal materials or is otherwise objectionable.

I implore all vendors under the reprap umbrella to adopt this as a mission statement or a least incorporate similar language in their terms of use policy.

I'll be honest, most of what is listed as prohibited in that little policy I can agree with, what I dont really agree with is

"or contributes to the creation of weapons, illegal materials or is otherwise objectionable"

Illegal materials sure, no organisation can really promote or allow illegal activity to occur through the use of their service, I have no issue with this portion of the policy.

Creation of weapons I kind of disagree with, I do not print guns or knives or lead filled PLA pipes with my i3, mostly because I already have a legally purchased .45 which is more reliable, more tested, and its just safer to use. But I do reload my own ammunition, and some of the things you use for reloading would be awfully nice to 3d print, im thinking shell tray, powder funnel, potentially powder scoops and or a scale. At some point I would like to try printing some of the base components purely to find out if its possible to use them, bullet and shell being the obvious choices (Lead Styphnate is nasty stuff so no primers). If I want to share my designs I think I should be able to, but under this policy those items would be categorized as contributing to the creation of weapons. Yes I could call a powder funnel just a funnel, a shell holder can be called a tray for who knows what, and a powder scoop is just a .7cc scoop but that makes them harder to find and less likely to be used.

Lets move on to the "otherwise objectionable" chunk at the end of that policy, what is this supposed to mean? This is so subjective that anything anyone does not like is objectionable and thus banned. It seems to me like a piece that was thrown in for legal purposes, so that if someone wanted to sue the originator of that policy they would have a way out, a little subclause they could point to and say it was up to you to inform us about this but since you didnt and noone else did your S.O.L. if you look at everything else that is prohibited by this policy it covers all of the big items that they could get sued over, or at least what they could get sued over here in the US.

In the end it is up to the person using the printer to be responsible in what he prints, some of the burden definitely rests with the hosts of our cad files but what it is always going to come down to is the operator. if somebody wants to print themselves a gun badly enough then they will find a way to do it. Either designing it themselves or finding someone to do it for them, and somebody somewhere will find anything objectionable. Everything contained in this post is my own personal opinion, I do not wish to force it upon you or anyone else, I merely wished to make these points.

Uhm. Where do you see such rules compromised? I'm not aware of a single illegal file in the wiki. And if I were, I'd simply remove it, with rules existing or without.
