When I try to upload an STL file to the wiki, it says

The file is corrupt or has an incorrect extension. Please check the file and upload again.

Are we not allowed to upload STLs?

Nope, unfortunately not, and that's a pity. I'm not even aware of a person who would have the privileges to fix this.

According to this page: [reprap.org] the wiki admin is SebastienBailard. But he doesn't seem to have been on the forums since August of last year.

Maybe zipping it up would help ?

Most of my technical comments should be correct, but is THIS one ?
Anyway, as a rule of thumb, always double check what people write.
