Best way to create colored objects?
July 19, 2015 10:05AM
Hi folks,
now that I have a dual extruder, I try to print two-colored objects.
I haven´t found a way to do that with openSCAD and import it directly to Cura.

I had to open the object with netFabb and cut it in pieces, which I then could assign a color to. Export each piece individually as colorSTL and open all parts with Cura.
Cura places the parts as if they were separate things, but with a right click on one part, I can make them being one part again.

Is there a more elegant way to do that?

I found some nice parts in thingiverse and now it dawned me you have to make separate parts of your object by using " intersection & difference or even projection ".
