Doesn't appear to do anything. The docs give the example:

text("OpenSCAD");

which does nothing (expected result is 2d outline of OpenSCAD)

Added a linear_extrude to it just in case. Still nothing.

Using 2014.03

According to the documentation, you need 2014.QX which apparently is a development version

Ooooooh I see, I assumed QX refered to Qx with x being 1-4 :/
