the parts list shows the required ball bearings to be 603ZZ but the wiki page shows picture caption to be 623ZZ. however, the caption on for the picture shows 603ZZ. What is the correct ball bearings that I need to order?

623zz will work but they are 1mm thinner than the 603zz, I prefer the last then smiling smiley

623zz is a 3x4x10mm ball bearings, the 603zz is sized at 3x9x5mm.

From the #x#x# scheme,The first number is the internal diameter (ID), the second number is the outside diameter (OD) and the last number is the width (W) or thickness of the ball bearing.

So what do you mean when you say the 603zz is 1mm thicker than the 623zz?

The ID is the same on both models so I don't have to worry about it but the OD and the W I do have to worry about since there are design constraints. The outside diameter has to be within the specifications in order to fit into the extruder housing. Furthermore, the W matters with regard to the y-idler because two ball bearings are placed so a total of 2mm difference will be present if I end up using one over the other.

Please advise.

Thanks.

nevermind It was a typo from the website I was referring to. the 623zz is a 3x10x4 and the 603 is a 3x9x5
