Supports for your print

Hell fellow 3d-ers,

New kid on the block. Been having at some printing recently, and this is a steep learning curve! I would like to have some input on an issue please.

It is all about supports for over hangs. If I may, please look at the pictures. Although for the tube part support is generated in Cura(or even Slic3r), the support is not touching the part to actually support it!?

Included is screen shots of my current settings. Although, I changed settings already in many directions, but the result is the same!?

Any help would be appreciated!
