Resume after Pause

Resume after Pause
May 14, 2015 04:09AM
I fried my Gen6.
I have rebuilt my Orca v4.x to run on Arduino Mega + Ramps, with Repeiter firmware. I Slice with Slicer and I print with Repetier Host.
Al works fine after loads of finetuning.

However (there is always a however moody smiley)

When I pause the print, to change filament, and I home some axes, the resume button will relocate the pause point in a very slow sped.
More than 10 seconds over a few cm. When the point of origin has been reached, the print resumes at normal speed.
Unfortunately, the hotness has lost some droop during that long transport, but I can deal with that.

Any tips why this transport phase is so slow ?
Is there a parameter for resume speed ?

Thomas

The host uses the speeds you have set in printer settings for the manual control. Sounds like you have the z speed also for xy.

The first one. Travel feedrate. Be carefull it is in mm/minute not per second!

This is an old question, but I never updated the code.
Currently I am, because I rebuilt the Orca with Mk8 extruder and e3d.

However, I can not locate the "Travel Feedrate" parameter.

Am I misinterpretating ?

How much 'first one' is it ?

is it in Configuration.h or in Printer.h ?

Please let me know a bit more specific ?

Thomas

Printer Settings->Printer->Travel Feed Rate directly at the top.

Ahhh.. it's in the HOST.

I was searching the firmware. Sorry.
What is a reasonable speed per min ?

6000 mm/min is ok for most. 12000 works also on most.
