repetierHost v1.00 Linux won't start

I cannot get the RepetierHost v1.00 for Linux to run. After sh configureFirst.sh everything looks fine with the usual message ... "no need to add permissions", but the application will not start. The desktop link tries, but fails- just a flash on the screen. From a terminal mono RepetierHost.exe gives a SIGABRT error. That is after apt-get update and apt-get upgrade on Lubuntu and several deletions and reinstalls of the RepetierHost software. the link is in /usr/bin, so script seems to have done some work.
Anyone have any suggestions?

First, I just uploaded a new version for Linux which fixes some linux issues.

What you see is a problem with old mono version I guess. Check mono --version to see if it is 3.2 which was tested to work. I had it running with Mint 17 and Ubutunu 14.04 which all have a recent mono version that works.

I have the same distro linux min 17 but it says to that i must upgrade to NET4.0.
When I tape in my Terminal mono --version so the follow TEXT stand there:

IMPORTANT: You need a recent mono version since the host uses .NET 4.0
If you see the following error message, your mono is too old!

That is a message from my installer that it uses .NET 4. Mono 3.2 supports it good enough to run. .NET 4 is the microsoft version and is not related to mono version.

Yes excactly after I run configure zhis text comes.

But I have downloaded the version for Linux what is there happend or is it a Bug.
What should I do now.

Everything is as it should be. Just start repetierHost. It is the hint that you need a mono version with .NET 4 support, which you have with Mint 17.

The repetierHost works but when I will slice with the cura engine it close.

Sound like you have the old version that is more then 5 hours old. You can tet this if you hit "save as" in curaengine settings and you can not use the host any more after closing the popup. In that case redownload.

Does Cura not work for because the RepetierHost close immediately after I pressed the button slice with cura.

Should I now once again download the version and reinstall?

It works with the version i just uploaded. But there was a bug that caused a crash in the older version. Mono is not 100% compatible with microsoft version, so sometimes it behaves different then expected.

Yes download the host again and reinstall as you did and it should work.

OK will the new version to download and install and report if anything went wrong or not. But ever thank you for the help.

Ok, so I found a couple of pages which described how to update mono on Lubuntu 12;

then thought it would just be easier to update my OS to Lubuntu 14 anyway.

So RepetierHost v1.0.1 is working and so is curaengine, but skeinforge50 fresh install is not working.
Still working on that.
