Repetier-host fail composite.gcode
March 05, 2012 05:05AM
Hi!! I'm a newbie with this app. I have a problem when i try to slice my stl's object. The program doesn't work with a warning like "Cannot find the file composite.gcode"

I'm on linux ("Arch 64 bits") and I already have the dependencies installed. I followed the instruccions but I find myself with this error.

Anybody can help me?

P.DSorry for my english.

I can confirm this issue on Archlinux 64 using the internal Slic3r.
With the external one it works fine.

Please, Can you tell me how you setup the external slic3r? I try to install it, but doesn't work. I also tried to link the external slic3r to the binary extracted from the tar.gz.

Thanks.

As described on slic3r.org:

git clone git://github.com/alexrj/Slic3r
cd Slic3r
sudo perl Build.PL
sudo cpan Wx

The select the correct paths in slic3r config in Repetier host..

On a 64 bit Debian Squeeze the internal version runs if you install the 32bit compatibility files (apt-get install ia32-libs). The slic3r configuration window will not show up even with compatibility files installed. The problem is, that Slic3r is precompiled for 32-bit linux with external dependencies.

As TinHead already said, the only way is to compile it yourself from the sources.
