Not sure where to put this question, but it deals with the slicer soooooo...
Having some issues with a particular print, solved the warping thin edges by moving the print head out to a point and pausing for 5 seconds between layers. Problem is that the head is oozing on its trip. This has evolved into the print having a little string sticking out wherever the head gets back to the object- and it is usually stacked with all the others, and makes for some clean up work. Tried using a G10 command but it did not help- I'm not sure if I need to set a M207 command in my header at the beginning of print? Shouldn't the fact that Slic3r already has that information in another menu set that up?
I am running Slic3r 1.2.9, with a Prusa i3v 12 inch. Layers are set to .15mm thick. Code is as follows:
G10 ; retract filament 1mm
G1 X100 Y100 ; move to (100,100,current layer)
M24 ; pause
G4 S5 ; wait for 5 seconds
M24 ; start
