How do I save all settings in Slic3r and restore them?

From the Slic3r manual (http://manual.slic3r.org/configuration-organization/configuration-organization):

Quote

The Export Config Bundle... allows to export the entire set of profiles to a single file (not just the selected profiles). This is handy if you want to clone a Slic3r setup from one computer to another, or make a backup.

Attempting this apparently succeeds in saving the settings to a file, however, when restoring them, none of the settings actually get restored.

This is with Slic3r 1.2.9.

Hi all,

I have the same problem, even worse: I don't get it at all confused smiley

.....

There are three different settings:

printer
filament
print

I have a BQ WITBOX (v1) printer and loaded the config files I downloaded on the manufacturer's site; this work as a charm.

But for the different filaments I use, I have created filament settings that I want to save.

Actually, I don't know how to save the filament settings only.

Is this possible?

Click on the little floppy disc symbol in the upper left...

Digital Dentist, you forgot to mention that he also has to enter expert mode winking smiley

File -> Preferences -> Mode: Expert

Sorry, I think I wasn't clear enough in my previous message.

First, yes, I am in "expert mode" and I can save those different settings.

What I can't achieve, is to find where these settings files are saved.

I'd like to archive these settings files but, up to now, I didn't find where Slic3r saves them.

Any clue?

BTW, I know the settings or "presets" are saved within configuration bundles".

I just want to know if these settings are or can be saved in separate files and if "yes", where.

Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Slic3r

AppData is a hidden directory in Users, so you'll need to turn on the ability to see hidden directories/files.

Easier way to access AppData/Roaming folder without showing the hidden files and folders is to enter %appdata% to the address bar in explorer.
So the Slic3r's data directory is: %appdata%\Slic3r
