Slic3r unable to slice embossed stl

I aqm printing a finger ring with embossed text. Actually it's "engraved" text as it's a depression inthe face rather than a protrusion. Anyway, using Slic3r the text gets mangled. Letters run together and centres of letters disappear. Any idea how to avoid that?

What size font, what size nozzle, and what layer height are you using? There are practical limits to how fine a detail you can make, especially with larger nozzles and bigger layer heights. As intricate as this sounds you might be better off finding someone with a resin-based printer.

I have attached the STL file for reference.
Using a Disney Font - as you can see.
0.5 mm nozzle
0.1 mm layer height - although I have tried varying this without any change.

Strangely Cura engine does a much better job of slicing this as the two pictures show.

Is this just a feature of Slic3r? I've never really used Cura, as Slic3r has laways done the job perfectly well, until now.

I tried reducing the nozzle size in Slic3r to 0.3 mm and that solves the problem. Thanks for the help. Now I just need a new nozzle... :-)

Try reducing the perimeter extrusion width instead (advanced settings)
