Feature request: Inner perimeter first at Overhang only

Feature request: Inner perimeter first at Overhang only

While my preference goes to outer perimeter first, I experience that for overhang sections, the inner perimeter first gives better overhang.

Would it be a nice feature to specify Outer Perimeter first EXCEPT for OVERHANG sections ?
I think Slic3r would be able to diagnose overhang sections already ?

oke to funny i have this idea for a long time and now i though lets go and add it to a Reprap forum.
but you have been first.

so to Slic3r i also think this gives a better overhang result.

specs:
Velleman K8200 (with allot of modifications)
E3D V6 extruder.
custom E3D V6 Fan system.( [www.thingiverse.com] )

if i enable innerperimeter first i experience that the outer layers will also begin with the inner ones.

i also notice this happent allways on the first point from a new layer.

I like this idea if it can be implemented.

Why do you use "outer perimeter first"?
Is there any benefit?

First, the request has been adopted :-)

Second: With outer first, there is the possibility that a bit off drag- and pushforces from the previous outer lines forces the inner perimeter to bond better with the infill.
I do see a difference sometimes and experience better bonding.

Third: You can select it so it must have a 'documented' value "-)

Of course, when laying overhangs, the opposite is wanted. You do not want the most outer layer placed halfway the previous layer without a bond to the side, so inner first.
