Infill Bug
August 10, 2014 12:23PM
Yesterday I posted that I had found a bridging bug - the first bridging layer was done with infill (in my case 50%), thus no solid layers for the floor of the bridge. I worked around the bug by setting my infill to 100%. Today I found another bug - thin walls (in my case 3mm) that are oriented at 45 degrees only get filled every alternate layer. STL and G code attached. The first (base) layer fills all the walls correctly, but subsequent layers only do infill on walls that are not in the orientation of the infill direction - thus each wall gets filled every alternate layer. It's a shame because there are many features of Slic3r that I like, but these bugs make it completely unusable and I will have to use Cura. Thank goodness I have only used the "stable" versions of Slic3r!
