Most easy support break away ?
August 07, 2014 12:22AM
I am not sure what parameter I should use to get the most ease break away support ?
Any advice ?

like pattern, pattern space or interface ? What settings are the best to get rid of te material ?

I had some trouble with my latest parts that have horizontal overhang and the support was pretty solid to it.

I have had problems in the past and reduced the Advanced>Extrusion width> Support material percentage (80-90%??).

Hi Bill,

thanks. That seems a good option.
Was not realy aware of that one :-)

I will start testing with that parameter.

Hi Thomas,

Try using this configurtion:

Overhang threshold: 0 (default)
Interface pattern spacing 0.5 or 1mm, depending on sizes involved
Support material width: 0 (default)

Slic3r will produce a smaller support material in size, with a nice gap to parts walls and easy to remove.

Regards.
