how to adapt slicer retract settings to Kiss ?
March 11, 2014 11:03AM
Hello everybody,

i have a problems with my retraction settings in Kisslicer.

no matter what combination of suck /prime /wipe i use, there are never real good retractions settings for my 0.5 noozle.
with Slic3r i have really good, almost perfect retraction settings. (0.5 noozle, jhead, ABS, 1.1mm lenght, speed 65mm/s)
so i tryed to adapt same values to Kiss suck/prime 1.1, speed 65mm/s, wipe of - and its a mess.
i get stripes on every move and dots on every start and end of a layer.

on one abs material i had good kisslicer settings with 0.6 prime/suck and 8mm wipe at 85mm/s. The ABS Spool was done and i started a new spool and again stripes and dots everywhere sad smiley

isnt there a nice way to read the retraction settings in the gcode from a slicer print and adapt it to Kiss ?

hope you can help me
best

They should transfer over just fine. My only guess would be the "min jump" and "trigger" settings as they define when it retracts. If that does not work be sure it is using your settings by checking the comments in the gcode to see if it is changing the settings.
