No retraction on long travels

No retraction on long travels

Hi,

I am using Slic3r 1.0.0R3, and I have a home made hot end that is oozing a lot, so I am trying to retract even in case of short travels. So far my settings worked.

Length: 4mm
Lift Z: 0.4mm
Speed 10mm/s
Extra length on restart: 0mm
Minimum travel after retraction: 2mm
Retract on layer change: yes
Wipe while retracting: yes

However, I just cannot create a working G-code of this Arduino mount plate.

No matter how small I set "Minimum travel after retraction", there is no retraction between those rectengular mount holes. Please, see the first few lines of the G-code generated, with four mount holes with no retraction between them.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Miki.

There is another setting in slic3r, but I can't remember where it is exactly. Something like "only retract when crossing perimeters". Check your value for that.

Yes, that was it, it's under Print Settings / Infill. Now it retracts between those mount holes nicely.

Thank you so much!
