cooling fan control

Hello,

I'm using the cooling control option and i'm a bit puzzled with the options:

why decrease the cooling when the time to make a layer is small ? it appear to me it's the moment we need the more cooling to avoid to have to much heat on a small part making the underlying layer to melt. The critical thing to me look like the delay between too pass at the same (mostly) point, less the delay more we need cooling

am I wrong ?

my try without cooling give me nice big parts and molted blob for the small one

is there somewhere an explantion of thes options ?

Where it says "slow down" it is not talking about the fan. It is talking about the speed of the print, hence why there is a setting for the minimum print speed (mm/s) setting right below it. The fans settings are the ones at the top: min fan speed and max fan speed which it varies depending on the size of the layers (higher speed for shorter layers).

i haven't fount any explanation before, it was confusing because of all the different speed option in the same box , it is not evident wich speed is concerned
