Prusa i3 Hot Bed Heating is Whack

Hey everyone, how are you? So I have an extremely annoying problem.

As you may have seen from my previous posts, I used to work on my i3 myself, but during July, I found someone who is awesome with upgrades and fixing the machine, and me and him have been fixing all of the problems with one last issue, one not even he can seem to figure out!

So what happens is that the heatbed (now a silicone bed with built in high quality sensor) heats up to 70*C, and cant go further, if it goes higher, it seems as if a type of fail safe kicks in because it all of the sudden completely goes cold and I cant reheat for at least 1 hour...

We have upgraded the power supply, heat bed, both boards, and revisited the firmware (which I know nothing of) and he said nothing seems wrong...different beds we tested are the normal red one, alluminium and now the silicone.

Please guys and gals, if you know what is up, please help me

So other beds with the same machine, same controller, same firmware are working?

Assuming it's a Ramps/Mega combo with Marlin, have you done a PID tuning session for the bed? See M303 for reference.
