[old PLA] bubbles in print

I recently started printing again and chanced upon some old PLA filament kept well, and here is what I found out.

The PLA is not as flexible, and has bubbles in them. They do not give popping sound like in ABS so I am not too sure if they are due to moisture. They also are to a great extent dependent on the print temperature.

Anybody has any idea what is going on?

I would still advice trying to dry a short sample of the PLA. PLA is also sensitive to moisture and this sounds/looks like a moisture issue. In my experience moisture problems do get less when lower printing temperatures are used.
