Mini fabrikator v2 Z axis not working

Hi guys,

I am new here and am new to 3d printing in general. So I bought myself a mini fabrikator v2 from hobby king. Now I don't have pic so I'm running repetiter software on the mac with slic3r. Now at first the printer was not homing properly but I managed to fix that. The current and big issue right now is that the z axis doesn't move up while printing. It almost ends up looking like it's etching the printing bed.....would love to get some help. Btw the printer came with a online PDF manual which is only good for someone with windows, no help for mac users :-(

You are probably experiencing an backlash issue on the z-axis due to a common problem that many seems to be having. You can this thread for more info: [www.rcgroups.com]

It was a while since you posted this thread, have you worked out a solution since then?
