printing in the void

Good day to all,

I built my core xy printer and I used several test files downloaded on thingiverse that helped me to focus.

Now I wanted to print this part : object thingiverse (it's a GT2 pulley).

I have as usual, produced the gcode with slic3r.
But when I launched the printing, it made very over the bed.

Is it because the object was made for Makerbot?

Have you successfully printed anything before? Or is this your first test?

Maybe it's something about your Slic3r configuration? Look at the object in Slic3r in "Preview" mode or "Layers" mode. Use the slider to the right of the window to look at the bottom layers.

It would help if you attach your gcode file so that we can see it.
