I have reently 'inhereted' an ecksbot from a friend of mine, and apparently he's had the same problem before:

The power supply cuts out halfway through the print.
after switching off and on a minute or so later, everything is up and running again.
at first I thought it had to do with the computer, screen settings, or maybe even an overheating problem, but out of ideas now.

any thoughts? Am I missing something obvious or is it the PSU that's faulty?

Have you tried to measure how much current the PSU delivers during printing? How much of it's rated power output is that?

A bit more detail would help.

Does it cut out in the same exact spot in the print, or "approximately" halfway through? Does it get hot? What if you try to print slower, or print a small calibration object?
