Makerbot Replicator 2 Heatbes

Hello from Germany, I just installed a hetbead on my makerbot replicator 2.
I can preheat it on the dervice exaktly, but when I start printing, the heatbed
will not hold the temperature to the end of printing. After reaching 65 degrees
Celsius (preheating) it cools down.

I think the problem is in the slicer, are you setting the temperature for the bed in it? Is the same temperature that you are using to preheating it?

Hello, thank you very much. I tried everything and followed the instructions, you send me.
Choosing as the Device the Replicator 2X from the menu from the newest version of
Makerbot Desktop, I have the problem, that after done the settings, the Printbutton is
not activated, so I can't start the print. What I noticed, there is no possibility to set a "hook"
in the menu "Heatbed on", in this Version of Desktop, I only can choose the temperature.
Have you any idea. THanks, best regard from Germany.

Can you save the file to an SD card and print from there?

You most likely need to update your firmware to sailfish and enable the heated bed option there, before doing what Andy mentioned but you can try it first and see.

If not I will recommend you spend some money purchasing Simplify3d it comes with a replicator 2 with heated bed option already and the slicing capabilities are amazing, I have used for the last 2 years and it is probably the best investment that I have ever done for my 3d printing.

Basically from what I read, you need to use sailfish 7.5 with the enabled heated bed and the copy and paste the replicator2.json on the makerware folder and you should be able to use the replicator 2 profile and have heated bed functionality.

I was not sure to be able to change the firmwire. But thank you very much. Because
I had an old transformer, I build an independent "heatbed-supply", it works.
