PETG being naughty

hi folks,
I have an issue with the PETG I'm currently using.
Supports etc are being printed without issue but when the main model is being printed
the extruder starts skipping. As soon as supports start being printed again, no skipping.

I've played with temp/speed and seen no joy.
Oh, I'm slicing with Slic3r with max speed 40mm/s and everything else on
auto.

Any ideas?

Andrew

For fast speeds higher temperatures. Increase hotend temperature by 5 degrees and try or keep same temperature but lower your speed.

Appears my filament had gone hard.
Swapped for a fresh spool which was noticeably more flexible.
Slic3r was trying to print 1mm walls which maybe the problem obvious.

Probably too high a temp in the filament dryer. You'd think ~60c would be
safe
