Autoleveling Bed Not Working: Probing Works but Not Affecting Prints

  • Printer: He3D Delta DLT-180 with heated bed and autoleveling
  • Software: Repetier
  • configuration.h file attached

Autoleveling:
  1. The printer instructions say to add G29 to prints, which checks levels at certain points on the bed (3x3, 9 points)
  2. G29 outputs the heights measured at the probe points
  3. However, during prints, even inside of that 9 point grid, at some places the extruder is too close, some points the extruder is too far away. Clearly not level

What I have done:
  • Manually adjust bed leveling: based on the measurements shown in G29, I have adjusted the bed/end stops to actually make it as level as possible, whereby all the data points when running G29 are almost all the same. Still, the bed remains not level
  • G32: Probe Z and calculate Z plane: I tried to run this, but repetier/the printer do not respond (so not available on my firmware?)

Any assistance greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I didn't think Repeatier supported bed leveling / calibration for delta printers, though it has been a while since I have used it. I also didn't think cartisian bed leveling worked for delta printers.

Delta leveling / calibration is more involved then calibrating cartisian printers. I would start by reading up on how to manually dial in your printer with something like minow.blogspot.com. Escher3D then has a manual version of his RepRapFirmware calibration tool for probing points on your printer.
