I've been using my HICTOP 3DP11 for about a month without any issues. Today while printing, the extruder heater sparked and the heat started going down. I unplugged it and waited until it cooled down.
Now everytime I plug it in, the extruder temperature automatically starts to climb. I can't set the extruder temp in the menu. It always stays at 0 degrees (second number on the display for extruder temp) but the temperature keeps going up. The only way to stop it from catching fire is to unplug it. The thermistor is good because it does show temp climbing.
I checked the resistance on the heater cartridge and it's at 14.1 ohms. Since this is a 24v 40w heater, it should be good.
I tried contacting HICTOP but no replies. Could the mainboard be fried?
