Slic3r 1.2.9. crashing

I installed the last stable version on my Windows7 laptop,but it crashed regularly when trying to slice a file.
Anyone else have this problem,or is this program aimed at later windows versions?
I,ve gone back to v.1.1.7,as this has given me no problems.

Unfortunatelly, these repeated crashes and the fact that only one processor is used moved me to Kisslicer since almost one year.

I'm having the same issues on a MacBook, so I installed it on my other laptop (windows 64 bit) and it doesn't crash anymore.

My point is I have no Ram enough (4Go) on my MacBook to make it work correctly.
I have a 'method' that allows me to use it on my Macbook : I open a little simple part, delete it, and then I can use slic3r with no issues...
