I have a PrusaI3 Chinese clone - was printing reasonable prints

Now, I am getting filament building up around the nozzle in large gobs - then drops off onto my job

I get perfect adhesion for the first layer - then the build up starts and drops off

I get that when my first layer height isn't exactly right. PETG likes to ooze and it seems to deposit a thicker layer than other filaments on the first. My nozzle would slightly drag over it and pick some up and do the same thing you're describing.
