i just switched to a different extruder so i am trying to change the esteps/mm to 600 on the printer using the lcd screen, but whenever I hit emergency stop on repetier it resets it back to default. I have also tried changing the eeprom settings in repetier itself but that seems to have no effect on the printer at all. Any ideas?

M500 stores the settings.
M501 displays the current EEPROM settings.
M501 loads the firmware default values.
But all this only works if the EEPROM stuff is activated in the firmware, some chinabombs refuse to include this.
