Prusa I3 skipping steps later on in my prints
November 22, 2015 11:36PM
Hello, I am having an issue with my GEEETECH Prusa I3 where it prints perfectly fine for a while, but just decides to offset or skip steps (not completely sure) later on and ruin most of my prints. Attached is a picture of one of my more recent prints. i am also using MakerGeeks PLA if that matters at all. Any help would be extremely appreciated!

Does the offset always happen at the same height? Is it always in the X or Y axis?

Maybe there is some physical thing interfering with the X or Y axis at that height?

I just talked to a friend and he said the power I am sending to the stepper motors are likely to high. Does this sound like a possible symptom of overly powered stepper motors?

No, but sending too low power might.
