Zprobe calibration with proximity induction probe

hi guys i got a kossel printer with ramps 1.4 rich marlin 1.04 .
i need help in sorting out the reason why my zprobe ( proximity induction probe) dose a mid air probe when i do either a G30 A ot G29
help would sooo be greatly apprieciated

Check the endstop statuses when the effector is in the air, see if it's triggered.

try lowering the z close to the bed then do a g30 or g29 and see if it probes the bed. I seen that happen before

How much " mid air " are we talking about ? These proximity sensors turn on within 2-4 milimeter.
