About the calibration for fine printing
July 09, 2015 06:48AM
Dear Sirs,
I am trying to calibrating my new Kossel Mini for a good printing,
I was using the model provided by Andreas Bastian for testing my machine.
The result is shown on the attached picture.
It is not good on the top.
Does anyone have a solution for that?
Thank you for anything from you.

The last steps were printed too hot or too fast. Try the "tweak @ z" option, or whatever it is called in your slicer.
Raise Minimum layer-time is another option.

Or simply print small items like this one twice with a bit of distance between them winking smiley

Dear Olaf,
I am using Repetier-host + Slic3r.
Can you more specifically talk me how to do?
Thank you!

Sorry, I´m only familiar with Marlin and Cura.
But you can ask that in the repetier subforum.

Dear Olaf,
Actually, I had tried to download the new edition (15.06.01) of Cura.
But it seem not to support a Kossel Mini printer.
Thank you for your help.

The new edition of Cura supposedly was a ground up rewrite and the third parties haven't adapted yet. If you are interested in Cura, I believe you can still download a previous version. I also believe a previous version is included when you download Repetier-Host 1.5.
