Auto bed leveling servo angle problem
June 30, 2015 04:15PM
Hello everyone.

Recently i have installed auto bed leveling on my Velleman K8200 (3drag). Everything was working fine, until I accidentaly broke my servo. After replacing the servo with new one (Tower pro 9g), servo moves only to one position, does not matter what angle i send with M280. It always goes to the same angle, despite the angle. What could be wrong here? I have checked my wiring, pins are OK.

Thanks

How do you break a servo?

I can understand breaking the arm, but the entire servo? replace the arm, they sell em at hobby shops.

As far as the new one not working the same... that's a mystery.

Hi!

Its quite easy to break a servo. Sometimes the mechanic of these cheap chinese plastic geared servos are weaker, than the servo arm.

I use them in RC aircrafts.

There is a quite good chance that new the servo is faulty. Get a servo tester! Its 2$ on ebay.

Are you sure that you mounted the servo arm in a correct position (lets say in 0). Try it without the arm! Its the same?

You can check the PPM signal from the controller too, but its a little bit complicated.
