(Print Speed) print to quickly then crashes
June 21, 2015 07:06AM
hi all,
I AM STILL A BEGINNER grinning smiley
I have a Prusa i3 work with pronterface and slic3r.
I have some small successes:
but now I want to print something serious it goes wrong with the speed:
in the second layer he can as the speed goes up and unable to keep up and crashes
I work with de E3D V6 with a 0.4 nozzle:
he crashes and I think he slips through the bolt.
after that i later again turn on the power and I push the filament itself a bit by hand.
Then it worked again, he comes loose and runs / working again.

if necessary, a speed limit?
if I can put the speed low if necessary(in the program)?
or can I set it somewhere in the software?

I hope this is understandable as written?winking smiley
Best regards from the Netherlans.
Rob.

Don't get what you mean by crashes, even with the pics and video doesn't seem to have any issues

Did you mean the filament not going out at the nozzle?

hello sarfk4
yes indeed he stops printing
it seems that he can not keep it up if he has to print more quickly,
and then suddenly he freezes in the nozzle,
it looks as if the heating pauses
for a very short time.
.
I will again measure the extruder, see if 10 CM is really 10CM.
unfortunately I can not measure the temperature. (not yet!)
I have to look for a meter.
.
Slowly printing the printer does very beautiful!

I started at 185 and 100% for PLA that went wrong
then with 195 and 80% speed, the printer is sometime done.
Now I had the temperature at 220 but was too late to put the print speed to 75%
yeah and when the printer was again stuck!

Regards.
Rob.
