Does anyone use Flashforge dreamer 3d printer? Having problem with using PCL filament.

Been using Flashforge 3d printer to print using PCL (polycaprolactone) filament but havent been successfull yet . The extruder of the printer stops extruding (and this happens in the starting itself after extruding a single line or so). I am using a filastruder to make my filament and have been able to extrude in the diameter range of 1.6 to 1.71. While you you generally have 1.75 mm dia prescribed.Is it due to the diameter or may be i need to make some adjustments in the printer? Please help.

The answer is both. Since your filament diameter varies so much, you need to adjust your extruder to be able handle it.

Increase tension in the idler so it can press on the thinner filament. Be sure also to put the average size out of at least 10 readings in the slicer.
