wrong layers printing
March 11, 2015 06:35PM
Hi,

this is my first printer and i have some problem at start.
After calibration my print is not good, second or third layer always print on wrong place, like few cm left or right from normal.

[drive.google.com]

I tried with several STL's and G-codes so that is not problem, maybe Cura or pronterface isnt set good, or even Marlin settings, i have no idea.

Does it sound familiar to anyone?

thanks,
Josip

You don't say what kind of machine you have or what settings you're using now, but you're probably either skipping motor steps or belt teeth. Could be too fast motion, motor driver voltage incorrect, axis binding, belts too loose or too tight...

Well, are all these shifting layers on one axis? Especially on the Y-axis?

Then it indeed can be a case of too fast printing, belts skipping, axis binding, too low stepper voltage etc. Exactly what the person above me is saying. I can confirm this is usually the case.

Thank you guys for answers and sorry for bad introduction confused smiley

After testing which axis is wrong, i saw that problem is only happened on X axis.

I incrase voltage on x stepper motor controller and that resolve my problem.

this is my first print ever:

and you don't know how happy I am cool smiley
