Filament size question with J Head MKV-B Hot-End

Sorry if this has been asked before but I think I made a big mistake when putting together my Wades Extruder with a J Head MKV-B Hot-End.

I assumed I could use 1.75mm filament but it keeps clogging. Now I am wondering if my liner is not supposed to take 1.75 mm filament.

The 1.75mm filament is not snug in the liner and now I am thinking that's because the liner is only for 3mm filament. It's hard to measure but the inside diameter is more than 2 mm.

Can someone confirm that the inner diameter of the liner has to match the filament? Or can I use 3mm and 1.75 mm filament on the same hot end?

No, normally you can NOT use 3mm and 1.75mm on the same hot end.
If the inner diameter of the tube is ~2mm then it is for 1.75mm filament.
But if the heating chamber is made for 3mm filament then you can still have a clogging problem.
