Issues with printing... Not sure.
March 06, 2015 02:14AM
Hello!
I recently built my own delta 3D printer and I am having a few problems!
I am printing PLA at 185C with a 0.4mm nozzle.

The top didn't quite come out as planned. either did the sides of it.

On the corners of the cube it kind of sticks out a little.

I am using curaengine with repetier host for slicing.
This is my first 3d printer and I have only had it running for the past few days.
Thanks.

Ah I found why it is so bad quality on the sides. The bolts holding the end effector are coming loose and it has some play in it. But I still don't know why it's doing that to the top part. Could it be the slicer I am using?

Is that companion cube totally hollow? If so, you can fix that drooping with either a cooling fan or by giving it a little infill.

Have you done bridge or overhang calibrations?

If it does that with nearly default slicer settings, it's probably not the slicer's fault. (I say that for slic3r, at least.)

Use acceleration to fix the corners, and try different temperatures/extrusion multipliers.
