Recently i built my first 3d printer, read about it
here
I use a RAMPS 1.4 with DRV8825 drivers in 1/32 stepping mode for x,y,z and e.
The hotend is a E3D v6
ABS printed at 255 C on 100 C bed
The prints were pretty decent from the start, but they all have a wave type wall structure, like a basket..
It's the same in both PLA and ABS
See the two attached pics of my first ABS print.
The second photo shows a aborted print which shows how the first layer was put down.
I use a
Mk8 extruder with 1/32th stepping on a DRV8825 driver
When extruding, the filament is pulled in with tiny little shocks/steps which could cause the inconsistant bead on the bed.
Should the extruder motor turn 100% smoothly? I don't know because this is my first 3d printer..
Would it help to try it on 1/16th stepping (or even try a A4988 driver?)
Note; I noticed a change in the structure when i adjust the flow while printing, also seen on pic1
Any suggestions are welcome!
