Pronterface not connecting to M2

I have a Makergear M2 and am trying to connect to it with Pronterface.
Whenever I press connect, all I get is "Connecting...". No error messages or timeouts.
If I unplug the printer when it is trying to connect, it gives me error messages, so the program must be talking to the printer to some degree.

Both are set to COM3. I have tried COM20.
I have tried baud rates of both 250000 and 112500.
I have restarted everything multiple times.
The fan above the controller is on as is one on the printer head, but the other one is off.
There is a green light by where the usb plugs into the printer, and a red light on the board.
I am about at my whit's end. Any ideas on how to fix this are appreciated.
