Mendel Z-Axis Issues 5/16th rod

Hello Everyone,

Just finished building my first 3D printer and I need help configuring firmware. I have recently purchased a RAMBo board but have no idea how to configure how many steps the motors take in the marlin firmware. I decided on using 5/16th rod for the build so I know the steps are going to be different for the Z-axis, I have found online calculators but have no idea on where to put this information in the firmware. Any help would be much appreciated.

Open marlin firmware on your computer with the Arduino controller and open the configuration h tab, towards the bottom of the file you can find the steps per mm settings, just replace the ones already there with new values, save it and flash it to the board, and test your numbers with pronterface, adjust accordingly.

If you Google. Marlin conf h, and steps per mm calculator you will find an immensity of information about how to do it.
