How to set minimum support for this thing?

Dear RepRappers,

how should I set Support material in Slic3r for this Thing?

Dental Valentine

I assume I would only need minimal Support in the middle of the heart, nothing outside, and nowhere else. I tried several Settings but Slicer put Support everywhere. sad smiley

Thanks for all helpful answers smiling smiley

You could try Cura. It makes lighter support structures I think.

Hm, will give it a go. With Slicer and default support settings this comes out, see attached. Unusable.

Well maybe because you have your support angle set to 0* Try about 50*-60*

Yea support overhang normally a default would be 45 that way it only puts support where the angle in free air is 45 degrees or greater.

Thank you, that sort of hint I was looking for. I had not really the right sense how to handle this setting. Will try it, thank you smiling smiley
