October 30, 2014 12:39PM
Having a problem with my prints. Have a makerfarm i3v with auto bed leveling.

Have updated to current marlin firmware to use auto bed leveling.
I have always printed at .3 and wanted to print at .1 res

See picture of Print to see issue...printing at .1 res

Nozzle @ 220 have to double check.
Bed. @ 70

Temperature too high, lowered at 195~200, lower the extrusion width to same nozzle size if .35 or lower, if .4 do .35 if .5 do .45, lower the extrusion multiplier to 0.9~0.95 and lower your speed to 20mm/sec.

Start gcode in cura. not sure if there us something there that might be causing an issue

I had that problem,
are your autobed levelling values consistent? it seems that your bed is not properly level, thats why hoted is dragging the print.

I think there consistent. I printed with the hex head at .3 with good results. Hex head at .1 got OK results but the issue was heat from hex head.

Think I might be over extruding. How can I fix that in cura? Going to try using slic3r and see what results I get...just have to set it up for auto bed leveling

still having issue see pic. going to try printing an older file i was attempting with my hexagon head before i switched to the Prometheus. so far its about 5mm in height and no nozzle drag. currently printing at .3 layer height.

gcode was from cura and .3 layer height so far no issue.

gcode from cura and slic3r at .1 layer height i get nozzle drag and melting of the print. when the nozzle is laying down filament its obvious that its pushing down on the print

in slic3r i did change the extrusion multiplier to . 95 and .90 still had issues. changed the speed and temp as well. change nozzle size to .35 no change.

Prometheus orifice is .4

thanks for any help
