Jammed Extruder,

A foreign body is jamming my extruder's nozzle. I plan to soak the head in acetone overnight, and then try to clear it with a fin pin needle. However, the guide I found instructing me to do this was unclear about one thing.

This is my extruder:

I have separated the bottom silver part, but then failed to separate the silver block that connects the heat element from the print head itself. In fact the two seem permanent connected.

The guide was a little confusing about what to remove before attempting the acetone soak. Should I soak the entire bottom silver part in acetone?

I don't think the connector for the heat element comes off.

Thanks in advance for your help. Obviously I don't want to ruin my printer.
