Hello all. After running 2 or 3 longish prints on my newly built Prusa i2, I've noticed that the my X-carriage has started to war severely at the location of the mounting screws, presumably due to heat. My kit came with an aluminum plate that fits between the ABS carriage and the extruder, but it's apparently not doing it's job as a heatsink. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is it simply a matter of finding a better x-carriage/extruder design or is there a work around? Thanks so much!!
