[Resolved] Precision printer

Hello,
I am kind of new in this 3d print world and I am getting issues in small printing details.
I have the bed at level, configured the motors but I can't understand what I am doing wrong.

Basically I wanted to print this: [www.thingiverse.com] and the result was this:

[lh6.googleusercontent.com]

I probably think that the Z axis doesnt move enough ( I tried to change some values but didnt work ).

You can see that the gap for the belt is not there, its every melted together.

I got a Prusa i3.

This is NOT a precision printer problem -- just need good technique.

What material ABS or PLA?

Looks like item is to0 small for speed you are using?
Material not allowed to cool?

Lower extruder temp.

Use a fan to cool part.

Print 3 or 4 parts at the same time to allow layers to cool?

measure and set Z steps/mm

You may want to position part differently --- rotate to minimize overhang?
Split part into top and bottom parts?

I am using a PLA filmanet 1.75

I tried to run the printing at 50% of the speed and the fan to auto-cool.

Is there is something in the slicer settings that I can change to improve the printing for these small details?

Like cozmicray said, when printing smaller parts you need to print multiple pieces to give them time to cool between layers. For something that small you should probably be printing 6 at a time.

I see, I will try later to print 6 of them.

Found out the problem.
I got a tension belt broken and the extruder steps was wrong so it was giving too much filament.
Printed only one at 50% of the speed and the belt fit the joiner smiling smiley smiling smiley
