trouble with first layer width

Im having trouble with my first layer, when the printer lays down the filament each line is not touching.

but every layer after the first is perfect.

this is causing my prints to warp please help.

I'm not sure what I have done because my printer has been printing fine until last week.

I'm running a prusa mendel v2 with buda nozzle.

3mm abs filament
nozzle temp: 230
nozzle dia: 0.5
nozzle clearance: 0.25
first layer height: 0.4
layer height: 0.3

I have changed first layer height to 0.3 and the filament barely touches the heated bed.

Your nozzle clearance is to much. the distance should be close to zero. You can measured it with a piece off paper sliding trough.

When you are setting up your z home height, the height should be as close to 0 as you can make it. People use the piece of paper technique; I use a 0.20 mm feeler gauge. The head is actually raised to print the first layer.

The other thing I do is make the first layer height lower than my normal layer height. Normal height for me is 0.2mm, first layer is 90% or 0.18mm. I never understood the idea of making the first layer taller. If you are going to raise the first layer, then you need to increase the extrusion rate to compensate.
